Music: Gregg Shapiro Bedroom Sounds
A few years ago, I was introduced to the instrumental compositions of Butt Boy, whose recordings were intended
to be a soundtrack for the bedroom. The "erotic soundscapes to set the scene" on Barre Parts by Tony Barre www.barreparts.com function in a similar way.
Song titles such as "Enjoy the Ride" and "Stiff Proposition" go a long way in setting the tone.
If you prefer to dance vertically, this disc may meet your needs.

Ask any kink/leather sex player and they’ll confirm – the right
music in the dungeon play space makes all the difference, setting the mood and bridging scenes. Those of you who
think that kink means sex with the lights on might want to just go buy another Luther Vandross album and stop reading
now. For those of you who buy Crisco in bulk, read on.
Dungeon music is a relatively new musical genre. Leather sex players were always on the lookout for something with
that certain ‘feel.’ Penetrating a bottomboy’s sphincter with a dildo the diameter of a Louisville Slugger just
doesn’t feel right if Eartha Kitt & Bronski Beat are singing “Cha Cha Heels” on the sound system.

Classical is a good standby. Some of the Warhorses add power
and atmosphere to the scene. Imagine hearing Vagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” as you’re tying up your favorite
bondage victim. Hot. Until you look over and he’s softly singing “Kill the Wabbit, Kill the Wabbit.”
So-called ‘new age’ music offers a few options. Countless gay
men have been deli-ciously abused to Vangelis’ “L’apocalypse des Animaux” soundtrack. However, the entire album
is only 34 minutes long. Not so great for a 3-hour scene.
Enter the fabulously twisted and fiendishly talented minds of
those who write real dun-geon music – music specifically designed for leather/kink/BDSM play. These are the perverts
who are mentally composing new tracks while the welts are still forming on their freshly-caned asses.

Dungeon Music "Soundscapes For Kink"
Music Review by Michael Daniels, (excerpt from article...)
The latest entrant on the scene is no Newbie. Tony Barre has been crafting music for many years, and his work has
set the scene for a number of hardcore, raunchy bareback vids from Hot Desert Knights studios. Barre’s first offering,
"Barre Parts", is more than an hour of dark, synthesized trance with an excellent core rhythm. Barre
has skillfully and subtly mastered including enough variation to avoid the “lather-rinse-repeat” monotony of many
minimalist composers, while including enough consistency to enhance virtually any scene. Tracks are spiced with
dungeon artifacts – moans and groans of pain and pleasure – to keep testos-terone oozing out of your speakers.
You’ll want to keep this CD with those at the top of your queue – and if Barre’s future offerings ("Barre
Handed" is set for release May 2005) are as good as this one, prepare to make space right next to Butt Boy
for the entire Barre catalog. Listen and buy at www.barreparts.com.

Tony Barre to Release Second Dungeon CD
Music Review by Michael Daniels, (excerpt from article...)
Tony Barre, producer and creator of the amazing dungeon music
CD Barre Parts, is set to release
Barre Handed later this month. The
CD will premiere at International Mr. Leather in Chicago.
Ambient and thick, Barre
Handed was was “written and produced with a vision ... to create music
that fits, one note at a time,” says Barre. “After ample test driving, leathermen tell me that they totally find
their zone, literally and figuratively with Barre Handed.”
Barre Handed consists of 4 tracks, each 15-17 minutes long. The
first selection is en-titled "Social,” and delivers the message that part of what kink players do is simply
social activity among a group of like-minded individuals. The second track, "Ten Digits,” and the third, “Within
Arms Reach," need no further comment. The final track is the title track.
This CD is darker in places than Barre
Parts and more ambient in others, yet retains the masculine-edgy and in-charge
attitude associated with Tony's work for Hot Desert Knights films.
I can’t wait to get my hands on Barre Handed.

BARRE HANDED
Over an hour of music that oozes testosterone out of your speakers. This new CD is “Ambient and Thick” as
the title implies, BARRE HANDED was written and produced with a vision, Music
that Fts - one note at a time. |

After ample "Test Driving", those who raved about
BARRE PARTS, say they totally find their zone, literally and figuratively, with BARRE HANDED. And are still raving
about BARRE PARTS.
BARRE HANDED consists of 4 tracks, each 15-16 minutes long. The first selection is entitled "Social",
and delivers the message that part of what we do is simply social activity among a group of like-minded individuals.
The second title is "Ten Digits", first things first. The third track is entitled "Within Arms
Reach", life can be that way. And track 4 is "Barre Handed", need I say more? This track smokes.
BARRE HANDED is darker in places than BARRE PARTS and more ambient
in others, yet retains the edgy-masculine and in-charge attitude associated with Barre Parts and Tony's work in
general.
The next project (currently untitled) is in the works and the third CD is tentatively set for release September
2005.

DESERT DAILY GUIDE
Palm Springs, California
"Music That Fits".Tony Barre’s debut CD “Barre Parts” is HOT. Barre has written and pro-duced a
CD delivering over 60 minutes of erotic soundscapes in seven simmering audio tracks designed to heighten the senses
and set the scene. No Vanilla here…
“Barre Handed” is a mix of music and sound, which Barre calls “soundscapes”, due to their inher-ent tex-tures and
depth.
Moans, groans and other dungeon artifacts, mixed with Ambient, Trance and a hint of Rock for good measure, urges
on all comers.
Imaginations may begin to wander to their innermost fantasies with titles like “You Know What to Expect”, Stiff
Proposition”, “Every-thing is Reasonable” and “Enjoy the Ride”...exactly what the Artist had in mind.
Tony Barre’s soundscapes have set the scene for a number of Hot Desert Knights video releases and the "Barre
Parts” CD is currently available on-line through HDK dis-tributing and through Tony Barre’s website at www.barreparts.com.
A long time resident of the Palm Springs community and crafting and producing music for many years, Tony is currently
working
on another CD as a follow-up tenta-tively titled “Barre Handed,” and another video project with HDK set for release
by year’s end.

ODYSSEY HAWAII MAGAZINE
Maxxx Music Aural Sex,
by D J Maxxx, June 2005
www.odysseyhawaii.com
(excerpt from article)
A recent release aimed at the leather and fetish market is Tony Barre's,
"Barre Parts." According to to the accompanying press release, the CD is 60 minutes of erotic soundscapes
in seven sim-mering audio tracks designed to heighten the senses and set the scene." Pretty much what we've
been talking about, eh?
But what does it actually sound like? Hmmm. "Gay Nine Inch Nails" just
sounds wrong. But the album is chock full of downtempo electronica...dark and not so much sensual as bordering
on sleazy... which I guess was the intention. No lyrics per se but plenty of distorted vocals and come-ons. Literally.
Not for everyone, but the musically and sexually adven-turous should take note. Check out www.barreparts.com.
